Storytelling connects the performer and listener to the heart of the story. Listen to professional storyteller Carol Knarr bring folklore and personal stories to life. "Stories for My Mama" is a collection of the stories most requested by Carol's mother. "I chose to record these stories especially for my mother. She and I spent years swapping stories about her Miracle Cat Jingle Bell and the adventures she had keeping that cat away from my father and the adventures I had introducing that cat to my big dogs. I will never forget the joy Jingle brought to her or the horrors of having pups with an appetite for dry wall and carpeting."

This collection of stories is for all those who have heard the ticking of a biological clock, loved a pet like a child, and learned to see the world through their hearts.

Carol Knarr is a certified teacher in Indiana and Arizona holding degrees in elementary education, secondary education, storytelling, and theatre for young audiences. Carol performs storytelling concerts, gives in-service training, and workshops incorporating storytelling and creative dramatics. She has been a regional storyteller and emcee at The Mesa Storytelling Festival (AZ, 2006 and 2007) and a featured storyteller for The Pine Storytelling Festival (AZ, 2007). Carol has been an adjunct faculty member for Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) and South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute (Phoenix, AZ).
Carol’s storytelling concerts are geared toward a specific audience’s need or age group. Carol is willing to design a concert, workshop, or in-service training specifically for your needs. As a drama specialist, Carol is able to work with groups using improvisation and creative dramatics to encourage better group dynamics and improve writing skills.
