Album Notes

Robert started in the music business in 1983, he was captured by Lisa Coleman's performance on keyboard and synthesizers in the song 1999 by Prince. Since then he was attracted to every aspect in electronic music, following most of the time Lisa's style. After joining various
pop bands and working in several recording projects and studios he finally decides to work on his own.

Listening to the music of Michael Hedges, William Ackerman, Mark Isham and Liz Story he was able to grab new ways to express music in to his own original style. Then he joins efforts with UX Records, an independent record label created by Dee Vazquez and sound and recording engineer Orlando Santiago, to bring us his first solo recording project "Country Lands" in the year 2000 under the New Age category.

After Robert's successful debut he acknowledges that he was meant to compose and record this type of music. And that is the reason that in 2002 he bring us his new production From Solstice to Equinox.

From Solstice to Equinox is created by mixing new styles and textures. For Robert Carreras it was the beginning of a new chapter in music composition. By combining chants and voices to the simplicity of analog sounds and digital synthesis he's able to create new emotions that he represent in this new production.

FSTE has influence from the 80's, 90's new age, ambient and 2002 ethnic mix in an elegant and functional way that will transport you in to worlds of imagination and light.

Now is time for you to share this experience!

Orlando Santiago
