notes
This is the 18th album from former pro surfer turned musician Corky Carroll. Over the past 30 years, he has become known as an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. On this album he is featured instrumentally on guitars, electric and acoustic violins, bass, and keyboards. He also does all the male vocals.
Also featured on this CD is the legendary Chris Darrow (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Kaleidoscope, Linda Rondstadt, Hoyt Axton, and others). Darrow and Carroll have been recording and playing together on and off over the past 25 years.
This CD sort of falls between the cracks when trying to describe style. It runs from soft rock, surf rock, folk, acoustic rock to tropical rock. Carroll has been described many times as the west coast Jimmy Buffet. He is found on a regular basis entertaining at Dukes in Huntington Beach, CA. Also known as surf city.
