Album Notes

"Popping in Carson Huggins new record is like cruising in an old convertible through a David Lynch film set on the Outer Banks. And that is just the first song...," says one reviewer! Recorded in Nashville, Carson's new CD features originals written over the course of 2 decades.

No stranger to corroboration with seasoned performers, Carson has taken the stage with such musical luminaries as Billy Swan, David Lowery, Tony Joe White, Janis Martin,Bobby Lewis, Earl King and CD Namesake Roy Head.

Now gone solo, Carson's cd, "From Roy Head To Nags Head" is somewhere between alternative country and good old fashioned rock & roll with tastes of Nashville old school, Memphis Elvis & Louis Jordan Fatback.

Contemporary Nashville legends Michael McAdam and Jack Irwin produced the CD, which was recorded in their Silvertone Studio. Get swampy with home grown favorites such as She's Gone, Doug Wiser, and Don't Have To Go Out At Night. Songs like Billy Diamond and Busy Guy reflect Carson's talent as a singer-songwriter-wordsmith and highlight McAdam's amazing guitar licks.Barbara Lamb, Gregg Wetzel, Joe McGlohon and Greg Humphries join the foot-tapping infection of the tracks.

Interesting Carson Facts:
* One of the new CD's first singles, "The North Carolina Song" was written for a touring group of Ambassadors to Brazil and has been translated into Portuguese.

* Carson digs deep into his homage chest when he records one of his favorite Louis Jordan hits, "Fatback & Corn Liquor"...the only cover on his newest CD.

* Carson began playing music professionally at the age of 15 and has never stopped.
