Album Notes

Carter sang his first note in December 1969. From that time he was always singing for family and friends, but he began singing publicly at age nineteen. That's also when he began writing music.

After learning on his own how to play acoustic guitar and piano, he began honing his songwriting abilities beyond what many expected. Carter was a mild wild child, but somehow he was able to rein in his unrestrained energy, long enough to ponder over lyrics and melodies.

Carter likes to listen to and play all kinds of music. He writes not only about the world around him and the different peaks of his life, but about the deepest valleys of his heart as well. He expresses his music however it comes to him and hopes he will touch the lives of as many people as he can.

Aside from his songwriting and singing, Carter has an additional gift to make others laugh, sometimes bringing them to tears. He also has an uncanny ability to sing and talk like Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond and has performed as the King and Neil at different functions.

He's always positive and friendly and he loves getting to know people. He makes others feel immediately comfortable around him and from the first time you meet him he will always be your friend. You can hear that in his music.
