The first airing of Cary Hoffman's Public Television Special, "My Sinatra: The Songs and The Stories" on New York's PBS station WLIW Channel 21 on June 3rd, 2003 was such an incredible success (high ratings and high pledge dollar response, beating out Tony Bennett's special that aired after Cary's My Sinatra) that 40 Public Television Stations around the country have chosen to air this marvelous recreation of Frank Sinatra's greatest songs.
Cary Hoffman has been wowing Manhattan night club audiences with a Capital Records-era fashion performance at New York's Famous Carnegie Club for four years. His show is distinguished by impeccable phrasing and Nelson Riddle-styled arrangements. Cary is living his dream to croon these great Sinatra standards of the 50's and 60's. Although he bears no resemblance to Sinatra and wouldn't even pass socially for Rat Pack materiala vegetarian who doesn't smoke and only occasionally drinks a glass of wine he sounds more like the young Sinatra than even the older Sinatra did.
Hoffman's performance includes stories about Sinatra. He tells how the music was created and of the indelible impact Sinatra had on his life as a young man growing up on Long Island without a father, but with a dream of someday singing Frank Sinatra's songs with a big band.

The New York Times: "DEAD ON."
The New York Post: "CARY HOFFMAN IS AN AMAZING TALENT...LIKE SINATRA IN HIS PRIME."
The New York Daily News: "HOFFMAN DOES SOUND AMAZINGLY LIKE THE CHAIRMAN...SO MUCH SO THAT IT IS HARD TO KNOW TO WHOM YOU ARE LISTENING."
Mark Simone, ABC Radio: "HE IS A GREAT SINGER...THAT DOES NOT IMITATE SINATRA, JUST NATURALLY SOUNDS LIKE HIM. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!"
The Village Voice, Wil Friedwald, author of "Sinatra, the Song is you","Jazz Singing", and Tony Bennett's "The Good Life". "...HOFFMAN'S FOCUS IS TO CELEBRATE SINATRA NOT IMITATE HIM. HOFFMAN EVOKES THE IDIOM WITHOUT APING THE CHAIRMAN'S MANNERISMS."
