notes
Depot Square Music is pleased to announce the new release, "Living Between The Bridges", by recording artist Sal Casabianca. This is a follow up to his debut CD, "Curve", released in 2001 and continues to show Sal's evolution as an artist. His music is a blend of blues, pop, jazz and world with songwriting that conveys his unique perspective on life all delivered with raw energy and impressive acoustic style. "Living" displays more of Sal's blues and jazz influences and captures his guitar acumen as seen at his live shows.
A native of Queens, Sal wrote and produced all the songs for the CD and his material often reflects on the unique experience of "living between the bridges".Sal's musical experience is nothing if not eclectic. He's gone from writing acid house music to playing guitar in a drag queen funk and soul band to being signed to a major label to begging for gigs for no money and warm beer. But that never stopped him from writing and performing music ... for him, music is a creative outlet as necessary as breathing.
Reviewers have said :"A masterful guitarist with a crystal tone", "A heart beat away from quitting his day job""If the majors would invest in artist like Casabianca the record industry wouldn't be in the sorry shape it's in nowadays" (Tom Semioli,Minor 7th)
"A solid sophomore effort","Casabianca continues his songwriting that conveys his unique perspective on life all delivered with raw energy and impressive acoustic style" (Guitarnine)
"Casabianca is an impressive vocalist and guitarist who imprints a sense of sprituality into every phrase and nuance",(Roy Abrams,Inside Music Connection)
"The success with which Casabianca attacks the different styles reveals a confident performer well at ease with a variety of material",(NYROCK)
"The singer-songwriter has hit paydirt with a mellow, focused album with great appeal""Casbianca future is open wide -his tuneful demeanor will take him far"(Rikki Lana,Good Times Magazine)
"Casabianca attains a perfect melding of lyric and music. Here's one act worth watching. The third release could be the charm"(Jay Blotcher,Chronogram)

A cd with soul from "Queens". Sal does a great job of putting together a cd from his roots. Such a great mix of music and lyrics. A note must be made of the great mix the musicians made together. Great talent brought together. The lyrics and music hits the hearts of those "living between the bridges"...
If God Played the Guitar....
author: Luigi BascoMr.C knows how to please. The saying goes: "Do what you love and the rewards will follow." If that's the case, Mr. C is a Medal of Honoree. Bravo. Bravissimo. Or as Junior Samples would intone: "It's good...DANG good."
Sal is a must see talent . The music reflects the man
