ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
(Queens--NY) Depot Square Music is pleased to announce the new release from singer/songwriter, Sal Casabianca, "Shell Games" The title sums up these collection of songs perfectly. All the songs on this record are all about games we play on ourselves and others.
This is his fourth release. And it follows the critical success of Sal's debut, "Curve", in 2001; and his second release, "Living Between the Bridges", in 2003 third release,"I.D" in 2006.
I did a remake of No Friends and Addiction (Curve) and on Humvee Paradise (I.D) its just me and my National Guitar. Hey the nice thing about making you own records is you can do anything you want. I'm happy with Shell Games but I'm already thinking about the next project. It's always about the process and discovery that makes the music but always please yourself first anything after that is just an opinion.I have been playing guitar and writing songs for over 30 years. Over the years I have played with many bands but felt is was easier just to do my own thing. Music is my passion and now I only write songs I can live with. I play local gigs and I'm always writing and playing for the joy and process more then anything else.Music and songs are the only things I can create from zero to something. I enjoy recording and releasing records every few years with the help of some very good musicians. Thank you for checking out Shell Games I hope you like it. Best to you.

wonderful CD !
Hi Sal,
Finally had a chance to sit down and listen to your new CD. It's excellent, from beginning to end! Nicely arranged and produced, to my ears, with just the right amount of accompaniment for your songs, voice and guitar. I love all your blues guitar work, which seems to be a theme throughout the CD. And the lyrics are very profound to me, as if you've reached a place of wisdom and perspective where you can stand in your Truth, accept your life with all your grey hair and wrinkles, and declare that it's great to be alive. The melodies are infectious, your vocals are great, your guitar playing is, as always, amazing. 'Cruising Humvee Paradise' is a beautiful classical piece. 'The Way Back Home' is lovely and soothing. 'Tell Me Where' is driving and compelling. 'Addiction' is supercool. It's all great, my friend. Just keep getting out there and sharing your talent with people.
Congrats !
George
