Album Notes

"Thomas Case is most familiar to local audiences as a member of Twin Cities rock bands the Cedar Waxwings, the Delilahs and the Wonsers...It's this folk side that's evident on case's first solo album. The emphasis is on traditional folk, with fingerpicked guitar, banjo and mandolin accented by the occasional harmonica lick. Case handles nearly all the instruments himself, and he's an expressive player, whether he's tackling footstomping blues -folk tunes like "My Old Angel" and "Black Dog" or moody cuts like "Sun & Rain". The arrangements are simple but effective; while Case's voice and fingerpicking are the center of each song, there's always a little backing vocal or rhthym going on to make the tune complete..."
