Album Notes

For years now, around fifteen, I have been constantly hearing that I should make a CD. Well I finally got off my butt and did it and that is why you are reading this now.

I first went into the studio to meet with producer Chris Gage in December 2009. I had eighteen songs to choose from and we slowly broke it down to the twelve that are on the CD. Since I had been playing mainly solo and duet type gigs, we decided to put together a studio band for the project. Chris has been playing live with Jerry Jeff Walker, so it naturally worked out to use Jerry Jeff’s core band for my studio band. Chris Gage, Steve Samuel, and Brad Fordham make up this core. It was also at this time that we decided to put the cut of Jerry Jeff’s song, Little Bird, on the CD.

In working with these guys, each song seemed to take up a life of it’s own as we put them down. I believe that we have represented every song on this album in a way that will make the writer proud, and in a way that the lyrics paint the picture they were meant to produce in the mind of the listener.

I am also fortunate to have Lloyd Maines on steel guitar, Jimmy Ruggeire on harmonica, Phoebe Hunt on fiddle, and a cast of harmony vocals from the Moonhouse family including: Craig Calvert, Christine Albert, Jeffrey Tveraas, Chris Gage, and Mike Jackson.

This album was produced by Chris gage, and recorded at MoonHouse Studio in Austin, Texas.

Enjoy the music, as I am sure you will, and pass it along to others. I believe there is something for everyone in this album.

Thanks for purchasing,
Casey Don Yeager
