Album Notes

Casino Royal is a three piece band based in Vienna/Austria being together in this line up since 1997.

The main musical roots of Casino Royal are the likes of
- to name only a view - the Smiths, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Primal Scream, Depeche Mode.

Three albums recorded so far. At the moment Casino Royal is working on their new release which will be hopefully finished early 2007.

This 1999 release ‘Long Live the Pro’ is a 5 track EP of indie pop tunes in the vein of 80ies indie pop bands like The Smiths and The Pixies. To imagine the sound on ‘Long Live The Pros’ think of The Smiths going wild with lots of electric guitars and synths.

The tracks ‘Rejection’ and ‘Orphan Boy’ are part of the soundtrack of the feature film ‘Ikarus’ which was released in cinemas nationwide in Austria and shown on national television in Austria and Germany.
