"Music is our weapon, for people to use any way they can…to relate to, be empowered by, or in any way to be enlightened." Cast In Shadows derived their name from Plato’s "Allegory of the Cave", which shows a parallel between ancient knowledge and modern misconception. They create a powerful sonic landscape- a place where diverse influences blend into a singular musical result which is driving and aggressive, yet soaring in melody. Drawing on influences from Sevendust and Tool, to Incubus and Metallica, their decades of combined musical training have given rise to a collection of beautifully crafted songs that are the hallmark of this newly formed, yet visionary band.

Awesome CD from Cast in Shadows
author: Jade Cryingwolf
I only heard two songs from Cast in Shadows myspace page when I flipped over to CD Baby to buy two copies of their CD. As soon as it came, I opened it and played it ... and have been playing it ever since. The band is great, the guys are very nice people, and it is a shame they have not been signed - YET. From the killer riffs to the deep lyrics, this band rocks all the way around. Do yourself a favor and buy a copy of their CD today - they are so very worth it.
