You could call it indie rock, but it's too hooky. You could call it pop, but it's too quirky. With a strong rhythm section and catchy guitar, piano, and synth lines the band will captivate you even before the unique and beautiful vocals are added. This is

"Shouting At Mountains" the song has been around in our live sets for quite a while (just search it on youtube for proof). At one point we planned on using the title for a new EP that never came to fruition. We even recorded nearly two albums worth of material with the same title before starting work on what became the new album. We considered naming it something different entirely, but the longer it took to release something the more Shouting At Mountains seemed appropriate. It can be difficult being in a band. It can be difficult being a human! "Shouting..." is about confronting the mountains in your life. Some days you'll just look at them and feel overwhelmed. Some days you laugh in disbelief. Some days you'll feel strong enough to fight them. This is an album full of many different themes, each song telling it's own story, but it often seems to come back around to the idea of living in the moment. To act. To do. To be spontaneous and adventurous. To take risks. Looking through all the grey and finding brilliant colors... or making your own colors!

This album is the real hidden treasure...

Seriously, this album is wonderful and eclectic and fun! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I certainly would because I've never heard anything quite like Castledoor's gorgeously haunting music. It's absolutely brilliant and melodic and catchy and every other great adjective there is out there!

Shouting At Mountains

One of the best songs is the album's title namesake. It's a pity we only get to hear so little of it, but here's a band who has every right to want to tickle our ears and get us to buy this wonderful collection of artfully crafted and yet spontaneously energetic songs. Shouting at Mountains summons the same electic Anglo-American indie hybrid sound as The Killers, full of quirk, humour, gritted teeth optimism, intelligence and just damn good song-writing. Now...where did I put my credit card?
