cat a'ton'ik

An abnormal condition variously characterized by stupor, stereotypy, mania, and either rigidity or extreme flexibility of the limbs. It is most often associated with schizophrenia.

In a little town next to nothing...............

Despite the definition of catatonic, the bands ambitions are far from it. Formed in mid 2003 Catatonik has already independently recorded with Drew Mazurek (Nothingface, Zao, Dog Fashion Disco) and released their intense 8 track debut album entitled "Rushing The Flame" with a guest appearance made by Todd Smith of Dog Fashion Disco. Recently appearing on 98 Rock, Baltimore's Biggest rock station and headlining Noise In The Basement (98 Rock's Local Showcase). Catatonik's local scene response grows with every show pouring more energy into the members, inturn transfering power to the crowd. Among local shows the band has played out of state with great reverberation gaining more contacts, more fans, and more venues that welcome Catatonik anytime. With each step the band takes the members gain more understanding on how to become dominate. We believe the four fingers of success are in place and are looking for the precise apposable thumb to support and complete this ruling fist.
