Greetings,
I'm so very pleased to be able to share this new re-release of the "Child" album. There is a whole new anointing on this album. It's been waiting all this time for the Lord's Time and it has finally happened! The reports we are getting of the hearts and lives that are being touched through these blessed songs from the Heart of the Lord to a hurting world, are just incredible! And, that is what it is all about. Allowing the Lord to bless and giving Him All of the Glory!
Newly digitally re-mastered, "Child" was originally recorded between 1982 and 1984 with a fantastic group of now very well-known musical friends such as Rick Krive, Ed Calle, Reed Arvin, Tony Lavender, Jorge Casas, Bob and Lori Basso, Don Hicks and many others! The acoustic authenticity is there as you hear all of the "live" instruments including "live" strings!
I hope that this glorious music blesses you and encourages you to know that you are not alone in this world, that the Lord will never leave you or forsake you because you are His Child.

Brief Bio:

Cathy Ellis has been a believer since 1972 and has had hit songs out there since 1978 beginning with "Child", which was the number one Contemporary Gospel Song on the National Gospel Charts that year. Cathy gives all of the Glory to the Lord for these precious songs. A graduate of the University of Miami's School of Music, Cathy received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music from the UM. She is President of EFM Productions, Inc. and has been involved in many aspects of the Music and Film Industries including as Artist, Producer, Choreographer, Writer, Director and Author. Most recently, her first hard bound book, "My Life With Mom" was released to rave reviews. As producer, she, and her Mother, Esther, have co-produced Nancy Haywood's "Brand New World" CD and Kyle Bielfield's "In My Father's House" CD and Music Video. Currently in production are three more albums and the film musical, "Fernando & Me", premiering in June.

About the songs:
Some of these songs were Nominated for Billboard Awards and for Grammys. "Child" was the number one song in the nation on the Gospel Charts. Even though this is nice, the most important thing is that hearts and lives are touched for and by the Lord through these songs. Be blessed!

That's all we are, just One Step Away.

Track 4: "GOODBYE FOR NOW"
Anyone who's lost someone close can relate to this song.

Track 5: "PROVE ME NOW"
Based on Malachi 3:10 "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. "

Track 6: "WHEN YOU'RE WELL PLEASED WITH ME"
There is nothing in the world like the feeling you get when the Lord is pleased with you!

Track 7: "I NEVER KNEW"
This song happened after being asked to sing in a nightclub. Quite an experience! Ed Calle's smooth tenor sax solo really takes you there.

Track 8: "(THOSE WHO THROW) STONES"
This song is comic reality.

Track 9: "PITY PARTY BLUES"
A very hot boogie woogie blues beat to lighten up a downer day. Ed Calle plays one VERY hot solo on this song!

Track 10: "THOSE WHO'VE DONE ME WRONG"
Jesus said we have to bless our enemies, even if we don't want to. In the style of Mahalia, Reed Arvin's Keyboard Solo really brings this one home!
