"Fernando & Me" is a delightful Film Musical for the entire family.
Based on the Stage show of the same title by award-winning author and composer, Cathy Ellis, it was created to share the never-been-told-before life story of the famous 19th Century Classical Guitarist Fernando Sor in an entertaining and unique way. The story follows a young Present Day Rock Guitarist, Rick D'Angelo, who stumbles across some old letters belonging to Fernando Sor. As Rick begins to read the letters, Fernando suddenly appears in his time. When they realize they are talking across time, Rick and the audience begin to learn all about Fernando and his life, his family and friends, which include several other famous Classical Guitarists from his era. Rick also begins to learn some Classical Guitar Techniques from Fernando and they end up playing an incredible "Duet Across Time". The Stellar Cast includes World Renown Guitarists, Rafael Padron as Fernando Sor, Johan Nebb as Rick D'Angelo, Rene Gonzalez as Dionisio Aguado, David Skantar as Mauro Giuliani, Muriel Urquidi as Julia Sor and Alain Ligonde as Kick. The fabulous musical score makes this film a "must
see" for general audiences as well as a great teaching tool for music and guitar classrooms. Teachers and Students have been giving "Fernando & Me" rave reviews!

Fernando & Me
author: Sandi O'Reilly
This film really was a learning experience for me about the history of the guitar as well as very entertaining even though I do not play the guitar or have any knowledge of it's history. The actors and the acting, the music, the humor and the script were all very well done, very commendable. I highly recommend this to all teachers of music and the guitar as well as to those who just enjoy a good film.
