Album Notes

" Her sound, phrasing, and resilient time combine with a compelling presence.." Nat Hentoff, The Progressive

“If you like bluegrass of any ilk, Asleep at the Wheel, great guitar and banjo work, or Prairie Home Companion you will like this album.” Anonymous Fan on amazon.com

"DOGGONE MY TIME" is a classic folk/old time/eclectic CD by Cathy Fink, now a 2X GRAMMY Winner and 11X GRAMMY Finalist with musical partner, Marcy Marxer.
It includes the first recorded collaborations with Marcy and fellow "sibling sister" Karrie Potter. Cathy built her fine folk, songwriting and traditional music reputation with this CD.

Cathy Fink is one of the country’s finest clawhammer banjo players. In 1980 she became the first woman to win the West Virginia State Old Time Banjo contest, an honor she earned 3 times.
Cathy’s performances are inspired by some of the great women of old-time music including Ola Belle Reed, Cousin Emmy and Lily May Ledford.
