This recording marks the 10th year that Cathy and her husband John Bunge have been singing for quilters. It's also Cathy's 10th solo recording. Ths songs on this collection continue her fascination with all things quilty - there is history from Africa, Long Island NY, Utah, and Canada. She sings of quilting bees, sewing machines and how to tell if you're a quilter. A song written to support Ami Simms' Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative ("I Remember You"), and a flat-out blues song sung by John about quilters' husbands recognizing each other. In addition, there are two gems from Cathy's "pre-quilting" repertoire that were too beautiful to leave out, and one new knitting song about a new phenomenon called "yarn bombing". The title track is an old Patti Page song, and "The Sewing Machine" was in the movie "Perils of Pauline" from 1947. It's a "crazy quilt" patchwork of songs, all tied together by Cathy's clear and rich vocals and a great collection of musicians.
