Originally from rural Michigan, Tom Caufield has recorded over 1000 songs, many of which have been included in television programs and movies. A lover of all things pop-rock from the outset, he began his professional career as a member of Ohio's fables Raisin Band (who went on to become Psychodots, and Adrien Belew's Bears), and began a solo career after exiting the group. In 1987, Tom was signed to Paradox/PolyGram and a debut album "Long Distance Calling" was released nationally. Since then, Tom has continued to record and perform, as well as releasing a handful of self-released albums. He has scored two feature films, and a documentary for The Discovery Channel. Tom has lived and worked in New York City and Nashville, and now makes Los Angeles him home. His studio, 'The Bohemian Embassy,' is located in Playa del Rey. Recently, Tom embarked on 'The Archive Series,' which is dedicated to releasing the best of his numerous recordings. Volume 1 is out now, with many additional volumes to follow, with a release schedule that will hopefully bring out new Volumes every 3 months. This is fun, solid, hooky, retro, interesting pop music, with a lot of heart and soul. Check it out!
