Album Notes

CAUFIELD is a duo from Los Angeles, California. Tom Caufield writes, sings and plays on all the songs, and Yasmin Tanriverdi sings. Tom is originally from Michigan and has released a number of solo albums. Yasmin originally hails from Germany; she moved to the States in 2004. 'Once Upon A Time In L.A. is CAUFIELD's third album. Their sound is a mellow, hypnotic, hooky blend of acoustic instruments, loops, layers of heavenly voices, tremelo guitars, cellos and other various elements that combine to make a sound that is warm and wooden, and also - sophisticated and thoughtful. The lyrics are based in Tom's love of reading philosophy and psychology, and a close listen will draw you in to a place that allows for deep reflection on your own life, identity and experience. Pick up 'Once Upon A Time In L.A.' by CAUFIELD. It will offer you years of rewarding listens!
