Tom grew up in Michigan and in North Carolina, and has also lived, at various times, in Santa Cruz, New York, Nashville, and La Jolla. For the last 10 years he's lived and worked in a sleepy little beach town called Playa del Rey, which is part of the greater Los Angeles area.

Tom's songs have appeared in many TV shows, among them: 'Friday Night Lights,' 'The Black Donnellys,' 'Felicity,' 'Ed,' 'Hack,' 'The Young & The Restless,' 'All My Children,' 'One Life To Live,'and others.
