Album Notes

The core of this album was recorded 'live in the studio;' all 5 members of the band playing together at once, performing a set of material they developed over 2 years of rehearsals and shows in Los Angeles. Starting with the classic 70's American Singer-Songwriter appoach of Tom Caufield, the band has fleshed out the sound to include atmospheric guitars, ambient synth textures, chamber pop elements (cellos, farfisa organ) and put all this over a smooth, grooving back beat. Great, insightful lyrics and big hooks make this album a very seductive listen. Lead single "Eyes Wide Shut" was mixed by Tom Petty co-producer and mixer (Highway Companion, Mojo) Ryan Ulyate.
