Album Notes

Caution Heavy Surf is made up of four childhood friends who love jokes, food and the beach. This passion for friendship and living reflects itself in CHS's crowning achievement "Oh Yeah! Another Summer". The record chronicles the real life stories of Jim and Eric Holmquist, Joe Eno and a rotating cast of players and collaborators. "You would like me", the opener, is a tragic tale about a guy's crush on his lesbian friend. "Downhill" is an instant classic surf instrumental capturing the intensity of downhill skateboarding. "Eskimo Girls" chronicles one man's search for the world's most beautiful women. Finally in "18 years" Caution Heavy Surf answers the question, "If I could do it all again, would I do anything different?" Yes. All in all "Oh Yeah! Another Summer." is an energetic, heartfelt album with goofy wit that can be found nowhere else and a brand of surf inspired rock that is both classic and innovative.
