Those were the days when it wasn't popular to listen to Garifuna music. Nuwanee II reminds me of the efforts of Don Gusto and what he has meant to Garifuna music. I think everyone who knows anything about Garifuna music will appreciate this CD and those who know little or nothing about the music, will easily appreciate the rythyms that preceded today's Punta Rock.
