Album Notes

Chris Conway's 2nd songs album finds him singing a wonderfully warm set of songs, many concerning distances and journeys. Stunning harmonies throughout from his band The Talking Fish.

Also featured is special guest Vikki Clayton (known for her work with Fairport Convention) on 1 track. This marked the first time Chris & Vikki worked together - he went on to join her band and she sang 2 of his songs on her albums including one that Chris sings here - I Want Something. Vikki sings one of 2 versions of Chris's classic song Coming in to Land.

The songs, many concerning journeys and distances - CC puts this down to having moved a lot as a child - all shine with 3 part harmonies, his 9 string acoustic guitar and veer between West Coast a la Crosby Stills & Nash but with a recurring Celtic feel.

instrumentation
