Album Notes

This is a portion of our journey. I've worked with Eddie Stovall, from the "World Famous Platters", for the past five years. We endeavored to address 'world concerns'. This is one of three albums we wrote and produced. The project started with a documentary about Africa. We both saw the piece and decided perhaps we could do something. Because we are musicians, that's the vehicle we used to illuminate some pressing issues. Our song "Heart of Darkness-Song for Afica" helped raise funds to put clean-water systems into Kenya. It appears on this album as an instrumental piece. We wrote the "Ode" to let folks in New Orleans know we are with them....'oh my brother...oh my sister'. Funds from this album will benefit the region. "Cover Me" is about tsunami survivors.We wrote it with Uzca and continue to attempt to cover these people with love and care. Some organizations had asked how we felt about global warming and environmental threats, so we take that on with "Earth Calling". We had children sing on this cut and it turns out they are concerned and aware."Devil's Game" is about addiction, we feel that is truly a Devil's game.Thanks.

What can I say but...Fabulous! I have been humming these songs for days now. Each time I turn on this C.D. it feels like I am experiencing it for the first time, and I'm immediately in a good mood. My three-year-old loves it, he and I dance around the house to it. Refreshing! It's a real must-have!

I have not listened to very much of this type of music in years, I have been pleasantly surprised by my liking for this CD. The first time I listened to it, I quickly picked out 4 songs that I really enjoyed. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. If I had to pick out a favorite song on this CD it would be difficult. There's not a bad song on it. I look forward to seeing what will be coming out in the future, and if you have any other CD's already out, I would be interested in knowing the names of the CD's.
