cea marie (the artist formerly known as christina abbott) has been making music for many moons with various bands and fellow musicians. some of these experiences have been wonderful. some have been not so wonderful. such is life. she moved to columbia county, ny in 2006 and took a little musical "siesta" so she could repair and reflect. during this time she continued honing her craft and working with fellow musician Kim and their sultry-electronica-trip hop-improv project called Hot B*tch Arsenal (HBA). they opened for Kaki King in Boston, and garnered a decent internet following during their heyday from 2006-2009. throughout this all, cea continued to write her own material again, until a new body of work was formed. she met jez & paul through some killer remix work they did on some of HBA's material, and asked jez if he'd produce her new album (though she had no money to pay him with and only poor jokes). he surprisingly said yes. either he is crazy for saying yes or knows good music when he hears it. thus cea marie officially was born. cea plays out mostly solo at this time, due to the fact that jez and paul live in maine and england - but the care, sheer talent, and instrumentation they put into this album really brought these songs to life and inspire her live performance.
