ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 2008, Cease Fyah was created and the band set off on a journey that would change each member's life. The thing about this band is that none of it's members are any more important than another. Kekoa, Makani, Lac, Smitty, and Ikena have equal shares of decisions and all ideas are layed on the table. The band is self-managed and has never been managed from an exterior party.

One perspective of the name Cease Fyah comes from the fact that band has lost a few loved ones at war and the Cease Fire call is that they side on the ways of peace, not war. Another reason for the name is in their own lives they feel like when they get together for rehearsal or a show they are eliminating all the negative aspects of life and doing what they love to do... jam!!

Each band member in Cease Fyah is essencial to it's success.

Kekoa Long- (EP song "Don't Go", a song about a mans undying commitment even in times of dispair) Humble, he's the most talented musician in the band, his knowledge of hawaiian history is admirable, his love for music is unmatched, he is versitile in many different genres of music,

Makaninui Pacheco- (EP song "Your Vibe", a song about an unexplainable force that a woman can put into a man's head by simply being herself, true love) Strong, he's the one that you can go to when you need help with something or just wanna talk, he never played drums before this band but after 4 years he has come into his own vibe, he's versitile in many different genres of music.

Terence "Lac" Lacaden- (EP song "On The Table", a song about a truth and displaying the positive side of leading by example) Rootsie, if you were stuck on a deserted island you would want him to be there with you, he never played bass before this band and after 4 years he has also come into his own, his lyrics are so deep that you can see straight through him when he sings.

Chad "Smitty" Smith- (EP song "Sweet Girl", a song about a woman's unmatched beauty, and a man's unlimited value he is willing to put forward to get her) Willful, you will never find a person like him, he is the big brother of the band and the members respect him, when he sings you might feel your own heart vibrate, some people say he sounds like Fiji... nope he sounds like "Smitty"... one of a kind

Ikena Dupont- (EP song "R U Down?", this song describes a man that is willing to put his testosterone aside to be the lovable man that a woman dreams about, and a woman's devotion for her man no matter what) Determined, he is one of the hardest working musicians, this band is his 24 hour job and he loves it, he's a master lyricist and his voice is uncomparable, he did his college thesis on how to make reggae music mainstream.

In 2009, they released their debut album self-titled "Cease Fyah". The album got some great reviews but still was an underground Hawaii reggae album. After the release of "Cease Fyah" the band played at some of the hottest venues and raging events in Hawaii...

Waikiki Shell- Mayjah Rayjah 2010 & 2011, Jammin' Hawaiians 2010

Aloha Tower Waterfront- w/ Pepper @ 2011 Volcom Volcanic Rock Out Tour, w/ Tribal Seeds in 2010 & 2011, w/ JBOOG, ANUHEA, COMMON KINGS, and Josh Heinrichs 2011.

"TMR Alohalaulea" @ Aloha Tower Block Party 2010 & 2011.

LIVE on TV @ Lily Koi Lounge- Hot Hawaiian Nights

King Kamehameha Hotel (KONA)- Mayjah Rayjah 2011 Tour

They have been to Molokai twice and are looking forward to jammin @ the rest of the Hawaiian Islands on their 2012 Hawaiian Island Tour this summer.

More Popular Venues Cease Fyah has had the honor to rage...

The Legendary PIPELINE CAFE Honolulu, HI.
Shack Waikiki, HI.
Don Ho's, Honolulu, HI.
4 Play Night Club AIea, HI.
Boardriders Kailua, HI.
First Friday in Downtown Honolulu, HI.

...and the list can go on for the 5 Hawaiians from Pacific Palisades on the beautiful island of Oahu. These were all achieved with hard work and consistency. They never expected their journey would lead to all of this in the begining and there is only hope for more. They are looking forward to "getting the music out" to the rest of the world this time around.

This album is Cease Fyah's way of raising the bar in both professionalism and class. This album is about truth, love, reality, feeling good, enjoying life, and never giving up.

This is the most interesting band in the world...

"We don't always drink beer... Wait.. We do always drink beer. Chee padeh!!!
