Album Notes

Cee Reed is a master of rhyme and a maverick of music. He is powered and inspired by everything from 80’s hardcore to underground hip hop to classic rock. Previous to Cee Reed’s life as an emcee, he’s played bass guitar since the age of 15 and toured most of the Northeast with the band, Within. For the past six years Cee Reed has been creating an autonomous vibe and a political/ social verse while defining a line between old school hip-hop and raw jazz. Submersing himself into the foundation of underground music he went a step further and created Northeast Abilities, an independent record label, enabling him to bring in various artists to collaborate on his visions. The Invitation is Cee Reed’s solo debut, produced by Double B, Dirt E Dutch and Firztborn. It is a sundry mix of head bopping beats and consequential lyrics. The Invitation is a preview to Pieces To The Puzzle, due to release in the spring of 2005. While Cee Reed prefers to rhyme with a live band, he’s always good to ride solo. “My mental state is straight, and now I am ready to begin.” –Cee Reed

Real Hip Hop at its finest

This CD is def dope. Great production, ill lyrics, and an overall good vibe. Cee brings it back to the essence of true hip hop that has all but been forgotten. A must have for any underground hip hop head.

Invitation to darkness

NRG and Rip Shows are the hard cuts of this album. CEE REED speaks heat and fire with a smooth slow tone that is almost hypnotic. Visit me at www.cdbaby.com/si3 . Peace...Si Aura aka "Killah".
