Album Notes

Celebrity Crush was started in the summer of 2000 as a vehicle for former OMEN bassist Jody Henry.

Jody had been out of music for several years and did not miss all of the negatives that came along with the music business.

There was however a sense of unfinished business that constantly nagged at him until he finally gave in to it.

Jody left the business the first time under someone else's terms and he felt it was time to go back and try it again.

As a starting point Jody enlisted drummer Tre Barnes with whom he had been working with informally for about a year.

He then reunited with former bandmates and long time friends, singer Steve Harris and guitarist Mitch Spencer.

The three had been part of the Dallas, TX based band Cold Ethyl in the early nineties.

The band had been just a step short of the national scene when the industry climate changed and all was lost in 1993.

The three remained friends throughout the years and were delighted to be working together again.

Next Harris suggested long time friend and former Loaded Gunn singer/guitarist Kerry Plummer.

The two had been in the pre-production stages for an upcoming CD they were planning to record together.

Kerry accepted and put his plans on hold to join the project.

He brought with him a wealth of songwriting and performing experience.

Kerry's writing quickly shaped the budding Celebrity Crush sound.

Things have gone well for Celebrity Crush, currently they are enjoying being the most downloaded band on www.sonicfish.com.

The band's first song "Jelly" has been on the indie music site's top forty for over 60 weeks currently holding the number 1 spot for several months! "Jingles" is a five song debut EP for Celebrity Crush.

A full length disc is on the way for the spring/summer of 02'.

I thought the song 'Is This My Life' was the coolest. As for the other songs, there is a little too much similarity.. I'd like to hear more variation. The bass is something definitely out of this world. The overall style is a little rough, but here is something I could sure listen to and enjoy.. And I'd love to see these guys LIVE!!

I am supposed to write a "glowing review" - - - Here it is: WOW! THIS IS THE BOMB! How's that? I would have rated it higher but since it wasn't recorded at Cedar Crest Studio with Bob at the helm it just CAN'T get a "5". Sorry guys. Better luck next time! hahahahaha
