"Oh Barack!" is now an historic collector's item!
Written, produced and performed by singer-songwriter and composer Celeste Friedman in 2007 to support former Senator Barack Obama, as he campaigned for the U.S. Presidency in 2008.
After hearing Obama speak of hope for a brighter future, Friedman, along with millions of Americans, believed that it was time to clean house of the old politics of Washington, D.C.
Now, President Barack Obama represents those Americans who continue to believe that with hard work and determination, we can strive to fulfill our dreams.

Song for Obama Shines Light on Hope
Columbus, Ohio- A campaign song for our times, inspiring hope and the promise of a better life, has just been released by singer-songwriter and composer Celeste Friedman.
A 2005 Grammy Nominee, Friedman is already garnering national support, as her song, “Oh Barack!” is reaching out to supporters of the phenomenal Obama movement. As an indie artist and eclectic songwriter, Friedman paints a lyrical portrait of Senator Barack Obama’s campaign for the U.S. Presidency, striving for quality of life and peace in our world. Friedman is also an Ohio native, born and raised in a small community and part of one of the critical swing states of this year’s election.
"The whole country should be singing her songs!", says Craig Harris of The Boston Globe.
Friedman is just coming off of an admirable 18 month period of scoring, including the Pulitzer-Prize nominated play, “The Glory of Living”. In 2007, she received chart-topping success in Europe with her CD, “Every Tear I Know”, in which one of her ballads was selected to be a part of a compilation CD, “All States All Stars”, recently sent to our troops in Iraq, featuring 50 songwriters from the 50 states. In addition, Celeste has just completed the score for an upcoming cable television series.
