Celophayne rolled across the Denver music scene like a tornado. They hit specific targets and made fans everwhere they landed. Unfortunately, their lives hit crossroads that took them each different directions. Again, like a tornado, their rockin' funnel faded back into the clouds.
However, something was left behind...
Celophayne put together one solid album to pull the weight of all that could have been. It was their nexus and their swan song. With fan-favorites "Crystal Man," "Highway," and "Everything I want," the band rocks through the album with both fury and passion.
If you've wanted to give your brain a treat, but are fed up with the mainstream, do yourself a favor: Send the rhythms and melodies of Celophayne directly to your ears.
...And if you like this, chances are you're gonna dig the solo recordings of Todd Helvig (also available on CD Baby).

I hate admitting I like these bands. I wasn't blown away by the solos (kinda generic), but the singer's golden. I'm always impressed when the vocals carry the song. Will buy next Celophayne album if there is one.
