A fresh perspective on all things American.

Funny, un-apologetic, socially-conscious rock/pop songs with elements of rolk, jazz and country. Glorius four-part harmonies singing songs about sex, drugs, rock and roll and your next-door neighbor. This album is fun and displays how rock used to be and should be. For fans of Frank Zappa, Wierd All Yankovic, simon and Garfunkle, and yes, Elvis....both Elvis' actually to my ears....Presley and Costello. You'll hear hints of all the greats. Tracks of note definately include "America", "Little Head", "She Likes Girls", the accapella, doo-wop style "Help Me Help Me","Celia", "C'est La Vie" and the timely appropriate "Acid Rain".
True, they're not Elivs, but they sound like him at times. They're not Celtic either, though the instrumentation includes regular fiddle, and occaisional accordion, both played rather well I might add. They don't play basketball either, that's for certain. What is also certain that they provide all the elements for a great rock/folk/theater varety troupe who's got some intelligent things to say. I give this album 4 stars...highly reccomended!
