Cé was formed in spring 2004 by three multi-instumentalists: Asher Gray and Devin McCabe, formerly of Anam Rí, and Randy Gosa of St. Brendan's Voyage. The Irish word, Cé, translates to the English word, "quay", a body of land next to water, a fitting title for a band based in Milwaukee. Cé plays traditional and contemporary Celtic music, including tunes composed by all three members of the band. In concert, they are often joined by Nick Cregor (piano, guitar and bouzouki) and Brian Hart (vocals and accordian), both of whom are featured on their self-titled debut CD, released in August 2004.
