What more can I say?

Not your same old Christmas song & dance...
With his own special style, Joe C. delivers a welcome change to the usual Christmas tunes. With that amazing voice of his, he puts his own spin on traditional tunes & opens our eyes to some unforgettable new ones. We should all "Give Love (for Christmas)" but also, we should all give others this CD!

A great fresh, but classic voice!
This is a wonderful Christmas C.D! Joe's own songs are as good as the classic's he does! And the classic Christmas songs are done perfectly, with Joe adding his own awesome signature on each one! I Highly recommend it!

Classic Christmas from a "class act"
This is a terrific CD, full of classics as well as some newer holiday tunes. "Give Love" is a beautiful song and Joe's emotion tugs at the heartstrings... This is now in my permanent holiday collection!

One of the finest holiday recordings ever made!
Well I finally found time to review the first couple new CDs in my rather large pile.  This Joe Cerisano  Christmas CD (titled; Give Love) is a most masterful, excellent, pleasurable project and Kinny should be exceedingly proud of all who participated!  I honestly believe it to be one of the finest holiday recordings ever made!
I especially enjoyed the Rock/Jazz "Rudolph"; a cleverly fresh approach to a not-so-fresh tune.  The entire group of excellent personnel did very well. "What Child" is also delightful to hear and I do love the way Joe sings.  His occasional Tony Bennett hoarseness is well handled and a very desirable tone quality.  The phrasing he uses is flawless throughout the whole album! Kinny Landrum's own tune on Trk.5 is wonderful.....the form is great!  This piece should become a standard for all future Christmas seasons!  Kinny, in my opinion is a top-level high calibre Arranger/Orchestrator/Composer!  The Piano trks. were gratifying to hear and all told the background orchestrations are as good as any in the business! The "country-gospel" idiom on "Silent Night" was another example of pumping a fresh approach into an old war-horse.  That, is clever arranging! I also especially like the "swing" chorus in "White Christmas".  Kinny and Joe and the entire group are to be congratulated on a stellar job throughout the whole project!
    A good idea is to buy now a CD for yourself, or several of them to use for gifts next holiday season; put them away on top of your box containing holiday decorations.  Then you will be sure to find them next Christmas!  (Some of your "shopping" is hence already done!)

Wonderful holiday cd - a must have for any holiday music collection!
I'm a huge Trans-Siberian Orchestra fan and I really missed Joe on this year's tour, so I treated myself to this cd - doesn't quite make up for not having him on tour, but it's a wonderful cd. "Give Love" is one of the most beautiful Christmas songs I've ever heard, and I love Joe's version of "Music Box". His rendition of some of the classics is fresh and thoroughly enjoyable.

A new Christmas classic - great for the radio & family gatherings.
'Give Love'. What a great idea! Very well produced. This CD sounds like it has major studio backing. It features traditional Christmas songs with jazzy, upbeat arrangements and original compositions that should become classics. He even has the class to include the first verse of 'White Christmas' - and I'd bet a lot of folks don't even know this verse exists. A nice treat is his version of that old Brook Benton song 'When Christmas Is Near'. I love his treatment of 'Rudolph'. My 14yo daughter said "Dad, this needs to be on the radio. I am soo tired of that old cowboy version." Joe has taken some production and arrangement hints from Paul O'Neill and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and blended it with his West Virginia roots. Great stuff.

One of the Best CD's I've heard in a long time!
This is one of the Best CD's I've heard in a long time! I love the traditional songs (carols) jazzed up a bit, & lets not forget Joe's excellent voice singing those songs. I've played the CD 3x now; last night, & twice at work today, several people have asked me who it is & where can they get the CD. I was more than happy to tell them! While I'm a Trans-Siberian Orchestra fan, I've always loved traditional Christmas music as well. This is an Excellent CD & a must for anyone who loves Christmas music in general, it has something for everyone. If you haven't purchased it yet, do so, you will not be sorry!

Add some Love to your Christmas...'Give Love'
Joe Cerisano and Kinny Landrum put together a real Holiday pleaser with Give Love (for Christmas). This production has great appeal to those who've been fortunate enough to have heard this wonderful collection. It's the kind of music that certainly would get attention if it were played on the airwaves during the Christmas Holiday Season. It seems that those who have heard Give Love are spreading this CD by word-of-mouth, so I think that airplay is inevitable. The song, Give Love, is a Christmas standard waiting to happen. Give yourself a gift of Love with a copy of Joe's CD and you'll find yourself also spreading the word. This is gem of a Christmas CD!
