Chris Goddard is one of the Bay Area’s finest Blues and Fingerstyle guitar players. His Blues sound is often compared to that of Brownie McGee, while his Fingerstyle playing is akin to the likes of Doc Watson and Chet Atkins. Chris has been exploring various guitar styles for more than thirty years, and has developed a trademark sound that he tastefully displays on this classic Christmas collection.

Most of the tracks on this album were recorded live in-studio to 2-track tape using Dolby SR back in 1991. We decided to record these tracks the "old fashioned way" so no overdubs or edits were planned. If the first take wasn't perfect, we'd do it again from the top. My favorite memory from this session occurred during God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen. Several hours into the session at about 2 A.M. I watched in awe as Chris performed his version of this piece flawlessly! To date it's my personal favorite Christmas song.

This is truly a must have for your Christmas music collection. The arrangements and performances of each song will warm up the coldest of winter cabins.
