Album Notes

Sparrow (2009) is a collection of songs that were inspired by the special people in my life, the Atlantic Ocean, and the people of New Jersey especially the local folks on the Jersey Shore and of course all the bennies!

Some of the songs (Stars, Sparrow, and Two Rivers) were originally developed and recorded during February 2008. The album was on hold while DC spent time learning and playing the music of the Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd for an on going series of shows at the Twisted Tree Café in Asbury Park, New Jersey. All songs were eventually finished and rerecorded in May and June of 2009.

DC plays a 1931 Supertone guitar and Honer ‘Special 20’ harmonicas. The album was recorded with a mobile digital studio during four recording sessions (May and June 2009). The songs were mastered in August 2009.

Album artwork is based on an antique postcard depicting a sparrow perched in a tree. The album text and imaging was developed and produced by soulsun media, www.soulsunmedia.com
