Chana Laila is both a rockin singer-songwriter and an inspiring instrumentalist who plays guitar, flute, and percussion. Originally from the NYC area and currently hailing from the “Happy Valley” of western MA, she has been playing and studying music all her life, starting at the age of 6, and continuing through her graduation from Hampshire College. Her all original debut album Lion of Judah is a fresh and vibrant blend of reggae, rock, and trip-hop, featuring striking grooves, savvy arrangements and haunting vocals. Chana Laila is an enlivening new voice in the world of conscious music, offering an inspiring message of unity and spirituality. She is also a core member of KindGroove, a slammin hip-hop band rockin a conscious message and awesome instrumentals.
