Chance Gardener has been dubbed one of the most under-rated bands on MP3. With MP3 chart topping hits ("Wherever You Go", "The Letting Go") to acoustic reveries ("Lorelei", "Heaven"), Chance Gardener makes music that is melodic, driving and thoughtful. Listeners are not clubbed into submission, instead they are inspired to participate and identify. It is music for people who've had enough of angry-rock, but who don't care for bland "cookie cutter" rock either. Chance Gardener rocks with a heart and mind, and a love for jangly guitars, power chords, and close harmonies.

I first listened to this cd on the cdbaby website...and was instantly hooked. The songs really speak to you. It's one of those cd's that you always keep in your cd player. I would recommend this cd to anyone who is a fan of Matchbox 20. Chance Gardner should definately be played on the radio. Thanks cdbaby for turning me on to a great group!

Chance scores again
author: Andy Chapman-gods Of Music
Well folks I’ve been a big fan of Chance Gardener for quite a while now. It all started over a year ago when Bob Sima (one of their lead singers) asked me to review ‘Wherever You Go’. Instantly I knew that I’d found something wonderful. Here was a song that was raw and powerful with beautiful execution. Better still, after listening to ‘Save Me’, ‘The Letting Go’ and ‘Continue’ I discovered that they had depth in their ranks. Yep, they have a real knack at producing radio ready, highly accessible songs with deep and insightful lyrics. And they do it time and time again.
So it’s no surprise then that ‘The Smaller She Gets’, fresh out of the Chance Gardener music bakery is indeed all of that and more.
‘The Smaller She Gets’ is about a young girl who is supposed to make her fathers day. She doesn’t make the cut, her father makes her feel guilty and hence – the smaller she gets. Lines such as: “You should be ashamed you haven’t made my day” really grab at your heart.
To me in many ways this song marks a new height for Chance. Any problems that I had back in 2000 have been fixed. Bob’s vocals are incredible, the recording is warm and the band is as tight as tight can be. I’d be hard pressed to find a single thing wrong with it.
So where are Chance going from here? Well, if you’re a local to the Baltimore, Washington DC area then I’d expect you’ll be hearing them on your radio pretty soon… that’s if you haven’t already. Beyond that it’s hard to tell but my fingers are crossed that they’ll someday be able to make an Australian tour.
This tune and indeed their whole repertoire are worthy in anyone’s collection. If you haven’t yet made yourself familiar with Chance Gardener then do it, and do it now. Then buy their cd. You can find out details from their home website: chancegardener.com

I could not believe how good this CD was
author: James Boyd
I was turned on to Chance by a friend of mine. When I first heard these beautifully written songs, I found myself instantally addicted. The words spoke to me, the music moved me. If i were to pick a favorite (and that is very hard) I would have to say either "Save Me" or "Continue" I have no idea why this band is not more popular then they are!
