Album Notes

Chancey Williams grew up listening to the classic country music recorded by such legends as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam and George Strait. This love of music blossomed into a love of playing guitar and singing along to those songs. This love of guitar and singing brought on a passion for playing live at numerous venues; anywhere he could play his music. Chancey plays his live shows with The Younger Brothers Band, comprised of drummer Travis DeWitt, who began playing with him when they were just kids, and lead guitarist Wyatt Springsteen, the older brother of former Younger Brothers Band member Gabe Springsteen, who tragically died in an accident on the way to one of their shows.

Chancey Williams and The Younger Brothers Band’s first tour included opening for Chris Ledoux, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Jason Boland. They also played individual headline shows at numerous other venues throughout Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska. Their current headline tour includes shows at Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Grizzly Rose in Denver, the Wyoming State Fair, the Central States Fair and Rodeo in Rapid City, South Dakota and numerous other fairs and festivals.

Their raucous live shows incorporate smooth vocals, incredible harmonies and amazing musicianship bred from a life on stage. Chancey learned his ability to bring the crowd into his shows from not only playing live on stage for the last ten years, but from Chris Ledoux, a family friend and one of the greatest stage performers of our time. Seeing Chancey Williams and The Younger Brothers Band perform live will truly give everyone an insight into the future of country music, born from a respect for the past.
