" Chandler is Watada. Watada is modern rock for the nostalgic... Landing somewhere musically yet more over cosmically between Ben Harper and Jeff Buckley, with poetic attire paralleling at times Elliot Smith or Adam Duritz of Counting Crows, Watada embraces modern artistic confusion with edgy and heavy acoustic guitar sounds like in "Move On" and "Freegun" that make me long for the thrust of a seemingly wounded rock revolution. Is Watada the word of the messiah or merely the quintessential bitch prophet wielding added clarity and proof? Who f---ing cares? This record kicks ass. " - Frank Rheen, Soundsinc. Magazine

smartly tempered vocal angst and lean beat-driven acoustic rock
author: Meta444
thanks to the cdbaby freebee angel, this disc unexpectedly wedged it's way into my bin of take-along favorites. smart, pouty and guitar-proud, the cuts alternate between pared down acoustic angst and lean beat-driven rock that conjures up vocal hints of counting crows, defranco, and maybe even jim morrison. like comfortably frayed and muddy jeans.
