Album Notes

Chantilly Lace's founders get back to their origins in their CD, "Music Street", most notably as they sing of their origins in "Bryan and I"- an easy pop rock story of going to the track, meeting in a parking lot singing Elvis, and shooting pool.. with the obligatory question, 'do you know any songs?...Bryan and I, those were the good 'ol days. The 16 song collection contains their poignant brand of lovelorn pain in tracks like "One Sane Night". The medium groover reminds us only of Chantilly Lace's earlier works-as their overall sound is as unique as a band can provide. Vocals are a concoction of Cash, Lou Reed, and Vincent Price with bass presence that will make your woofers cry for more adhesive. "She Takes My Breath Away" is a story of a waitress who has the heart of our artists. CL takes 3 chords and writes personal melodic and memorable song stories - and any of their multiple albums is a lesson in relating with honesty. Despite being musically solid and compositionally apt, the strength of the sincerity is what makes their material timeless and more than worthwhile. It's simple - and as "The Happy Song" reveals with two words that hit the listener's emotional target, 'I'm Happy'.
