Chaplain Jerry Vance

Jerry has earned many awards for his songwriting and poetry including the prestegious Nashville Music Festival Songwriter of The Year in 2003.
Jerry might as well have a campfire on stage, as he takes you to that almost magical place with his beautiful love songs. The warmth and intimacy of his songs and performance style will embrace every person in the audience. Jerry sings with power and passion, whether his own or the performance of songs written by others and delivers with warmth and feeling like none I've ever known. His body of work includes passionate songs about life, love lost ... and love found, with inspirational songs that uplift, challenge and inspire mankind to build a bridge of Love, Mercy and Grace. His performances have made grown men cry, ladies swoon and all children simply adore him. There is a sense of humor in both his mannerism and the unique style of this sincere and thoughtful man. The first thing you notice is his sweet voice,sometimes compared to Marty Robbins which combined with intense and confident guitar playing makes for a rich and exciting musical experience.For laughs and smiles that will light up the night, just wait until he starts yodeling, Wow ! Jerry plays several instruments including guitar, six string banjo, harmonica and keyboards.

Born, Gerald Martin Vance in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 23, 1948 and raised in West Virginia, Alabama and Maryland. Well traveled even before his six years of military service as an U.S. Army Paratrooper and an Air Force Special Services NCO. He earned his Bachelors at Mission Bible Institute and holds an Honorary Doctorate of Theology from Pastoral Councellors International.

Jerry has earned his living for most of his life as an over the road trucker, tactical security agent and investigator. While enjoying these career fields his real passion is and always has been his music. His life long 50 years of music and singing experience has been shared all over the world.

Jerry now resides in Southern Indiana having recently re-located from West Virginia .
