Album Notes

ZOE SPEAKS on Mike Chappelear:
"an increasingly rare find"
"There are lots of folks out there who can sing, or
play guitar well, or write good songs, but Mike Chappelear
can do all three-an increasingly rare find in a world
that often values fluff over substance. Mike has
elements of early U2, filtered through Dave
Matthews, with a touch of the Allman Brothers'
soul and smoothness. Mike's talent was instantly
recognizable to us, and we hope to hear much more
from him in the future."

"I got this cd and I am really digging it. It reminds me of, like, Dave Matthews when he's alone, or Jason Mraz, maybe, Tom Acousti - you know, any singer songwriter with acoustic guitar who just gets up and writes really deep, deep songs... They're true personal folk ballads. He's straight out of Kentucky, and I listened to this cd, I'm gonna be honest, the first time I popped it in I was just starting to do dishes and I just stopped and was like, 'Holy s#...! This stuff is great!"

Honest lyrics, it seems. Great tunes. Soulful sounds. Very enjoyable and a wee bit off the beaten track, which is a good thing. Excellent vocal ability.

This cd has rocked out my car all week, since I got it. I absolutly love the song 'Go with God' and scream the lyrics as I'm driving down the road. My friends and boyfriend have grown to love it also.

well on the way to something great

While the CD is much more diverse and daring than the previous one, to give it five stars would create a ceiling for growth in future albums. There will be future albums ... your fan base demands it, as does the inherent talent finding its voice through each song and string.
