This album contains the strongest yet set of new songs by Charisse Kahler.
author: Richard Davies ,UK music reviewer
This new album deserves an award for its combination of crystal clear narrative storytelling songwriting, fine singing and playing, and highly melodic, thought provoking material with keenly observed lyrics. My favourites include the highly memorable Blue Factory Hill with its signature mandolin accompaniment, the warm intimacy of This Ring, the wistful Moon Over Luzerne and the stunning song about the plight of economic migrants Over The Border with some superb guitar from Steve Kahler. Music fans and performers alike will avidly wish to hear these songs. They are meant for singing and I expect they will be widely interpreted making Charisse the household name she richly deserves to be.

The lead track, Blue Factory Hill, is a great song about growing up poor, escaping, and then finding a way to reconnect with the past. New and Overdue is my favorite Kahler album.
