«Charivna» (Enchanted) was created in Ukraine city Kharkov.
The group sings different kinds of songs such as Ukrainian folk, old romances and modern songs of famous composers from different countries.
Arrangement for four voices and jazz harmonies makes sound unique.
«Сharivna» has its own individual style of performing and singing songs. It makes the group so different among other groups.
«Charivna» is first Ukrainian group which mixed folk traditions with modern style. Participants of the group play accompaniment with acoustic instruments by themselves. This fact tells about their high class of education and big talent. «Charivna» participated in different kinds of festivals, contests and concerts around the World. The group had awardes and nominations in Ukrainian festival «Singing Vernissage» and international contest "Golden Trumpets", performances in Germany, participated on Ukrainian Heritage month in Cincinnati and throughout the North America.
«Charivna» has huge inheritance of different kinds of songs. ART of the group brings positive development in Ukrainian and other different cultures.

What "Charivna" is singing about. Short contents of songs.
1. «SHEDRIK» (CAROL OF THE BELLS) Ukrainian folk song. A swallow visits a farmer and his family during the Christmas season and wishes them happiness and bounty in all things.

2. «CHEREMSHYNA» (THE WILDBERRY TREE)- Ukrainian lyric: Surrounded by nature’s beauty, a young woman waits in the garden for the one she loves.

3. «MARICHKA» – Name of girl. She lives on the other side of the river, is so enchanting that all who see her fall in love instantly. A young man sings of his determination to build a «bridge» to her heart.

4. «MELANCOLIE» - Romanian lyric: Sweet melody.

5. «TSOTSHALY» (I ALIVE)- Georgian lyric: I'm in life, I
alive, I'm happy.

6. «I CAN’T FORGET» - Russian lyric: I’ve lost you, but I refuse to forget your eyes, your love and our time together.

7. «ARGO » - Name of big boat with many oars. Skiffs on this boat always meet goals in spite of all barriers.

8. "BESAME MUCHO" (Kiss Me A Lot) - Spanish lyric:
Kiss me, kiss me a lot, as if tonight was The last time.
Kiss me, kiss me a lot, because I fear to lose you,
To lose you later on.

9. «TUMBALALAIKA» - Jewish lyric: Balalaika is playing.

11. «BLUES UNDER RAIN» - Girl sings and dances on street in spite of rain. It is likely that she is in love.

12. «OCHI CHORNEE» (BLACK EYES)- Russian lyric: Black eyes, passionate eyes! Burning and beautiful eyes! How I love you, how I fear you! It's sure that I first laid eyes on you in a sinister hour!.........

13. «YOU ARE THE ONE» - You're the one, who gives my heart devotion. You're the one, who brings out deep emotion....

14. «MY CITY» - Ukrainian lyric: Song about Kharkov – city in Ukraine, about beauty of this city. Inhabitants love its home town.
