DANVILLE IL. Native Charles Green recently received the honor of being named Runner Up by the Song of the Year ( http://www.songoftheyear.com/ ) songwriting contest for several of his songs. Fly Away was recognized as top five for the month of May. Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1's Save the Music Foundation. Fly Away has also placed in other songwriting contest and placed on various compilation CDs.
Currently Charles Green is concentrating on his songwriting and singing career while hoping to become one of the top singer/songwriters in the world.
Charles has released his ten song Album titled "Bring Your Troubles To The Lord" produced in Nashville TN, producer Gerry Peters.
