Charles L. Green I resides in Danville, IL. He is a singer/songwriter and a member of Broadjam, GMA, Gospelswap, Sonicbids, Music Gorilla and BMI.

Charles is known as the father of Gojazz or jazzonian Gospel. He has written inspirational and Christian-based songs that are of hope, peace, and love. Charles' main focus is his music ministry and he will always continue to write from the heart. Two of Charles' R&B songs from his early years of writing, “Take Me Back” and “Stuck In the Headboard,” have been runners-up in the Song of the Year songwriting contest. Charles has also written Christmas songs.

Charles Green is making his way up the Country-Religious Top 10 with his tune "Claim It." “This song has wonderful lyrics and a great melody. It can make any listener feel good about life. Well done!” - Broadjam Staff Reviewer. Charles song “A Piece Of Heaven” has also reached top 10 Children category at Broadjam.com.
Charles has received a certificate of excellence from VH1’s song of the year for his song "Fly Away" which made the top five in the VH1’s Song Of The Year songwriting contest. A few other songs written by Charles have been runners up in the VH1’s Song Of The Year songwriting contest and suggested artist. His songs “I want to hear my baby’s voice” and “I’m having this baby” made top ten country at Broadjam.com.

Charles travels to Nashville to record. Gerry Peters is producing his songs. Charles has put the final touches on his ten song CD is now available. His CD is titled “BRING YOUR TROUBLES TO THE LORD”. Fly Away is on the CD. Song “Fly Away” may also be heard on FIERCE The Compilation Project Vol. II; BliSs eNTERTAINMENT released Christmas.

Charles was inspired by his Family, environment and friends to begin writing songs. He was inspired to sing in 2004 after reading a book titled The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. During this time Charles was going through some rough/tough times and it was revealed to him that he should sing the songs that he writes. "I feel that God wanted me to write and sing to stay focused on him and his purpose for me".

Charles is married to Fran and they have two children Chuckie and Jasmine. Charles and family attends New Life Christian Center, Danville Illinois.
