Album Notes

"Backed by Vancouver players Ross Taggart, Jodi Proznick and Blaine Wikjord, this is the New York be-bop legend cutting loose on Broadway off Dunbar one hot summer night. His tone is unbelievable, his rhythm unfathomable."

Traffic Ji-jinx reunites feeble ole' Rascal?
author: Gwenn Sanders from The Score Group
Charles is a brash and buxom performer. Kind of like myself. I did the glamorous photo shoots and videos for a time (under a Zeller's-like-lighting-quality) down in Florida. While, The Maestro, McPherson performs his magic to the dilutted masses...mainly in dingy old clubs. Where i specialize in helping others take off their skivies he propels the listeners to get confortable in their chords, retro stylish barets and occassionally...their riding crops. We can see the future of jazz through Charles' great vision. This old timer really does Be-Bop your brasierre right off of your shapely shoulders.

Solid Session
author: Otis 479 from Bakersfield California
Charles playing is never in question. His tone is vibrant as always. The supporting players add a nice zest to this album too. It is the live recording that fans have been waiting for. Charles knows how to Be-Bop yah like an old school veteran. He is what Clint Eastwood wanted in that movie...the name of which escapes me now? The man is not only on film but playing still in great halls and smokey joints from Tuscaloosa to Tacoma. Go get em Charles!!
