notes
Take a ride back into the Southland with "Charlie O. and The Houserockers". Keep a look out for the "Blue Lights in the Rearview Mirrow" and join us as we venture on a journey deep into the Heart of the South. Travel with us up to the smoky juke joints throughout the Delta all the way through Mississippi and down to Florida where hopefully certain people won't find out where you are and what you do! The journey is full of screaming slide guitars and haunting melodies, along with some Special Guests along the way that include Legendary Blues Man Mr. James Peterson, Young Guitar Slinger Damon Fowler, and all the way from England, The Bluesome Twosome. "12 Bars, Fast Cars, and Vintage Guitars" get your copy today!
I can't Thank all the musicians that played on this Album enough! It was truly my pleasure to be able to work with such great talent. From Legendary Bluesman James Peterson who I was privileged enough to sit down and write the song "Purple Lounge" with and then be able to hear him sing it on the Album was truly one of the highlights of my career and I can't Thank him enough, to the young talent on this Album. Damon Fowler one of the finest young guitar players in the world lends his chops to us on "Up to Memphis" check it out and you will see what I mean. Damon is only in his early 20's and I can only imagine the great future ahead of him. And while were on "Up to Memphis" you can't help but hear the amazing vocals of Miss Nalanie Rothrock who was only 16 years old when she recorded this, yes that's right 16 years old but you would never know it by the power in her voice, she is truly a superstar in the making. And for an International feel check out our collabaration with the "BluesomeTwosome" all the way from England on a song they wrote called "Cockroach Blues" these guys are the real deal! And of course Thanks one more time to all "The Houserockers", most of us have played together for well over 20 years and are best of friends, what a long strange trip it's been and I have loved every minute of it, you guy's are the best!! I can only hope you will enjoy listeneing to the new Album "Trouble in The Southland" as much as we did making it. And please don't forget PLAY IT LOUD!
Charlie O.
The band kicks some serious ass on-stage and the CD is a wonderful set of old-style Southern & Delta Blues. Go check out Charlie O. & THE HOUSEROCKERS and give 'em some love and pick up their CD so that you can show everyone that you were ahead of the game whenever the record labels pull their heads out of their asses and give these guys (and gals) the credit (and contract) that they deserve.

Trouble in the Southland
author: David RThis is a great CD. I bought this for my brother as a present and it is now one of his favorites. The only problem I have is that now I have to buy the CD for myself. Every track is great. Thanks for some awesome music.
This CD is fantastic - these guys kick ass !!!
author: Wayne KittleI like all the songs, but my favorite has to be "Raining In The Delta". My nephew, the Doctor of Soul (Chuck Larkin) is a great lead vocalist, and the whole band just has it going on - hope I have a chance to see them perform live someday.

Charlie sent me this disc in the post today. I had never heard of the band before, we met through our mutual admiration of the Allman Brother's Band. This disc totally blew me away. Some incredible playing by all concerned, and I will be letting a few of my friend's over here in the U.K know all about CHARLIE O. & THE HOUSEROCKERS. All the song's are original composition's, there's just no need to fill it with cover's. Overall I would rate this disc higher than some big name blue's artist's latest release's.
Killer Pickin'; Blues To Tha Bone!!
author: Seismic AnamolyCharlie O. and his band KNOW what you like when it comes to Bone-Rattling Blues!! This CD is proof of that...just check out The Purple Lounge...Oh, YEAH!! Great work from a great band....get this one NOW!! It is BLUE HOTT!!
Spot on blues.
author: DavidSlide guitar at its best! Spot on vocals. Kicks butt, from driving electric jam to acoustic backwoods stomp-your-foot music. Sure to be a favorite for a long time to come.
Great houserockin' blues
author: Stumblin' AndyA superb collection of rocking good-time blues. Fantastic music, great production. Buy this CD, you won't be disappointed.
It's a new candidate for favorite CD of the year.
author: Jeff a.k.a. BubbaA journey not only through the Southland, but a tour through the classic blues beats, rhythms, sounds, and themes of electrified traditional style blues. Classic blues vocals, backed by constantly grooving strings and keyboards, aggressive lead intros, and frequent changes of pace, make it great listening. It includes one of the best all-time slow dance tunes,IMO.
Killer slide work!
author: CarolTrouble in The Southland is truly a rockin' cd. Great blues tones with some excellent guitar work. Slide work alone is worth the cd. Check out track #3 Payin' The Dues and #7 Cockroach Blues. Cockroach Blues, the collaberation with The Bluesome Twosome has some wonderful resonator guitar work that reminds of the 30's blues guys. This cd won't disappoint!!
Shades of the Allmans !!!!
author: BOZFrom the first track, this CD will bring back memories of the great times and recordings from the Muscle Shoals studios. High energy fun music from a genuine circus of talented musicians kick'n one jam after another. An awesome CD and one to add to the collection of genuine Southern Blues.
